Gen is better than sex with me, almost always. I like and will read porn, but it's not high on my list of priorities, and I'm really only interested when it plays with the dynamics between two characters in a button-smashy way. Someone afraid of giving over control? Do it. Someone is just very pretty? Feel free to fade to black.

I like the extrapolation of long-existing relationships (not necessarily romantic) more than I like the build up of something entirely new (though I love that, don't get me wrong). Tell me about how two people were old friends before whatever came next, or show me how an old relationship affects new ones.

I'm not a huge fan of pointless fluff, pointless smut, pointless angst, but if it floats your writing boat, don't let me stop you!

I would die a happy death if you inserted real life Go into this in any way.

Ogata Seiji/Touya Akira

I'd love to see the long game here: Akira and Ogata through the ages, as Akira grows as a player and Ogata becomes more dominant. I would really like to see the ebb and flow of matches between them and between others that they consider strong. It'd tickle greatly to also see how the two of them deal with/approach Touya Meijin -- their shared experiences, their individual responses. Like I said in my letter, it doesn't have to be a romantic or sexual relationship between these two so much as a pairing, rivalry, partnership, etc. I want them both to walk into a room and for everyone, 1-dan to 9-dan, to quiver a little bit.

Ogata Seiji/Shindou Hikaru

I'm just going to bold the parts of my request that probably matter the most to me...

I'd like to see something where Ogata -isn't- a creeper. I honestly believe that Ogata, almost more than anyone in the anime, knows best where social boundaries are: he's perfectly polite to Touya Meijin, familiar but not overly-encroaching with Akira; unfailingly civil to everyone else, even Kuwabara. When he chooses to step over those boundaries, it's usually with strong motivations or for a good reason. So, if anything, I'd love to see a little jaunt where -Hikaru- is the one who thinks a relationship might be a good idea: and I'd like it to be more than "he's good looking, let's drop trou and see what happens." If anything, it'd be great to see Ogata genuinely attracted to Hikaru as another player of Go, or as a don't-give-a-fuck individual. But Hikaru probably has to do more than look vaguely attractive for that to happen....

Fujiwara no Sai/Touya Kouyou

Again, as I said in my request, I don't even know how this could work, but it would be amazing to see! Really do feel free to go all AU or slightly bent on this one. Reincarnated Sai? Great. Especially great would be Sai born into one of the real Go players (they are all very magical) out there right now, and I shall now direct you to my Tumblr tag that is full of details and random squee. Of course, that's extra work, but it's also great general inspiration if you want to write a realistic (??) but dominant player like Iyama Yuuta.
