Notprimetime Letter
[edit] A little late, apologies!
First off, everything is optional! I'm an omnivorous reader, and so long as you're happy writing what you're writing, I'm happy to read it. I've got essentially no squicks (except for bad grammar? ? ??), and I'm happy to get anything from the gennest gen to ever gen to straight up s/m porn. Go for it.
Vorkosigan Saga
Aral Vorkosigan, Simon Illyan
I'll just go straight ahead and point you to my Yuletide letter from last year, because it sums up my FOREVER WANT for Aral and Simon. I adore the casualness with which Aral exerts his authority, especially over Simon more than anyone else (yes, Aral, throwing people into jail for fun is a great way of treating your subordinates). I adore Simon adapting to his role as a thirty-year-old, owning it, and then becoming a mythos all unto himself. Write me anything about these two and I'll be a happy camper.
Byerly Vorrutyer, Simon Illyan
We get to see By doing some pretty unpleasant and off-hours stuff in the books - expand on that! How did he get set up? How did he get trained? How is Simon involved in all of this? Extra bonus points for entirely optional scandalised Ivan, or on-point Miles...
[Out of left field: here is my totally, totally fanciful and wishlist-iest AU fantasy - cross Vorkosigan Saga over with Homestuck and I'll give you a planet. I'm not even a Homestuck fan - can't say I've read much of the canon - but I love the writing fandom and I'd love a crazy mashup between the two fandoms.]
Hikaru no Go
Ogata Seiji
When I said "anything Ogata," I meant it. I adore him being an intergenerational foil between Touya Meijin/Kuwabara Honinbou and the New Wave; I adore him prioritising Go above all else in life; I adore how he doesn't quite fit the stereotype of a Go player any more than Hikaru does.
Star Trek: TOS
Leonard McCoy
Oh, Bones. He's by far and away got some of the best comebacks of anybody in the series -- sure, we all expect Spock to have something acerbic up his sleeve, but I've always adored how Bones always has something to say and isn't afraid to say it. I'm happy to see him in whatever form you may want to write him.
A couple of ideas:
What is his medical practice like on the Enterprise? Does he serve as a confidante for people on the ship? Is he really okay with the fact that the ENTIRE COMMAND CREW seems at peace with beaming down into dangerous situations, leaving their Engineer at the helm?
What's his relationship with Spock? Or how does he sort of chaperone the relationship between Spock and Kirk?
