[Japanese] Checkin 2
Hello all!
How's it going? Even if you haven't done anything, take this post as a chance to:
* Write down some goals for the next two weeks, no matter how small
* Talk about any difficulties you're facing!
* Ask for extra material to work on or recommendations for things to watch, read, or do
I'm going back through old entries and trying to reply where I couldn't before as well.

My goals:
- Review marked up Lesson 1 and do additional exercises.
- Crack open Genki and actually read the first lesson. I keep being intimidated by it.
Mornings/afternoons are writing time, which is work I have to do, and my husband basically wants me to be playing Divinity: Original Sin with him ALL EVENING so I am going to have to figure out how to get a couple hours back for language study. *slinks away*

Meanwhile I am trying and failing to crack open Original Sin 2, so our positions are reversed!

Too bad I can't blow off my writing obligations to learn Japanese, draw, and play games, LOL.

- I read one more section in the grammar curiosities book and aim to read one or two more.

* Keep chipping away at the DVR backlog. Goal for this week is 疾風ロンド. At the very least start it and then decide if my love for Abe Hiroshi is strong enough to get me to sit through a subtitle free bio-weapon suspense skiing movie.
* 今週の宿題、コンシュウ。絶対今週。
Edited to add: People should watch this video! For those who are advanced beginner/mid-level, it's a good read along exercise. The lyrics are fairly simple and repetitive, and it covers several grammatical patterns you should be familiar with. For everyone else, there are English subtitles, and the song is very amusing.

Though I did start doing iaidou as of last week and it's interesting to see what terms and words I know the meaning of and which I don't.
