Yuletide Recs
I didn't read all that widely this year, unfortunately, but here are some fics I really enjoyed in my canvassing:

Fandom: Dialogues - Plato, Symposium - Plato, Classical Greece and Rome History & Literature RPF
On the eve of the City Dionysia, Aristophanes receives a menacing visitor.
A sparkling gem of a thing in with Alcibiades and Aristophanes. My Greek history is very patchy, but even with it being made of swiss cheese, this was a clever and witty read.

Fandom: Austin & Murry-O'Keefe Families - Madeleine L'Engle
Proginoskes has been lost to Meg. She has to find him.
A nice evocation of the canon series, this reminded me why I love L'Engel so much; I'm probably going to reread the books because of it.

Fandom: John Wick (Movies)
Wherein Winston and John (but mostly Winston) learn to talk honestly.
A long, slow burn with an excellent, human Winston voice.
Check out the other John Wick fics, Discworld, and Breakfast with Scot I got as gifts; they are all wonderful.
