Low-Key Handmade Exchanges: REQUESTS

We have six participants for the exchange! This is very exciting. Sorry for the delay in getting this out!

Requests

If you've offered (you know who you all are!), please reply to this post with a comment requesting at least three of the following groups. For example, your comment should read "Group 2, group 4, group 5". All comments are screened.

Once we are all matched up, you are free to discuss which of the items within the group you want with your assigned creator :)

This post will close on 8 Feb, Saturday 11:59PM U.S. Eastern Time. Assignments will be sent out ASAP after that. Shipping deadline will be 29 Feb.

Group 1

Flat origami (example), three-dimensional origami (example), decorative modular (multi-piece) origami (example), usable origami box with lid (example), knotted/macramé keychain fob (example), dangly beaded earrings for pierced ears (many earring wire metal options available for people with metal allergies).

Group 2

- Hand-bound sketch-or-lineless-notebook with stitched binding, can do combination sketch and writing paper in alternating signatures. Will be half-sheet-sized (I.E. A4 notebook) due to what materials I have on hand. If the recipient prefers, I can create a discbound note/sketchbook.

-Half-sheet sized watercolor of animal subject of your choice. Can be as specific as your own cat if you can provide photo reference, or as general as 'I like owls'.

-Painted miniature (for D&D, Pathfinder, etc). Specify Monster or Hero, and indicate colors you like. This will be a standard 'medium' (one inch base) or 'large' (2 inch base) sized miniature, on the base with nice basing. My stash is mostly Reaper bones.

note for all offers: I have not one or two but five cats, and cat fur is probably an inevitability. Take note if you're extremely allergic!

Group 3

* one reversible, lined cotton fabric tote bag (soft sides, e.g., no interfacing. Bag can easily be folded up.)
* one small zippered fabric pouch, lined (can be soft sides or quilted if recipient has a preference)

Examples of stuff I've made can be found here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/GilasCave/sold

The fabric I have is mostly science-themed, dinosaur-themed, or Halloween-themed.

Group 4

Anodized aluminum chain maille bracelet (for examples of bracelets and weaves I can make, see the bracelets or fragments of weaves marked with "can make for exchange" here.

Group 5

Knitting - Hats, mittens, arm/wrist warmers, potholders, small triangle shawls, neckwarmers/cowls, amigurumi/small plushies. Basically any one-skein project that doesn't have a high degree of fitting (like gloves), or is socks. My stash is a mix of wool, acrylic, and cotton.

Crochet - all of the above, plus small thread crochet projects (a bit of custom lace, small doilies, snowflakes)

Sewing - utility stuff (bags, organizers etc), small plushies, simple items of clothing without a lot of fitting (loose tunic, elastic-waist skirts, etc). Stash is uh. All over the place. Lots of quiliting cotton, particularly calicos, and a bunch of drapey floral patterns.

Tablet weaving - anything in a simple pattern up to belt-length!

Crosstitch - smallish patterns/patterns without a lot of coverage. I have All The Colors of floss but I am kind of slow at crosstitch still.

Group 6

* Set of 2 linen or cotton dishcloths or table napkins (example)

* 1 pair of cotton shorts (pattern, unfortunately I am not good enough to grade above or below the available sizes on this pattern so you must request within those bounds, please!)

* 1 drawstring bag made of canvas (will look like this but made of a different material)
