Nearly 12 years ago I wrote Nasdaq in FFVII when everything tumbled and now things are tumbling again, with a pandemic on top of it. Back into FFVII ponderous writing I go, then. Wish I had Nyx to bounce this off of.
(I was thinking: what does this look like in FFVII? And then was like, well, Geostigma already happened, but they did more wholly collapse the world order first.)
Entering slow shutdown. Very odd experiences of pretending like nothing is
changing, running construction tenders, arguing with contractors, while at
the same time everyone is quietly unenrolling their children from schools
and daycares and hammering wood barricades over their bedroom windows.
Public places/cafes etc only shut down yesterday. No enforced isolation as
yet. Lots more planes (borders closed yesterday) and police sirens.
