Dear Yuletide Santa!
You guys can ignore this, this is a post for my awesome Yuletide writer, whoever s/he is! ♥
HI! ♥ I send you a million hearts for drawing my ticket; it's a very weird ticket this year, so please rest assured that I am an easily-pleased hyper bunny, and that there really, really isn't anything you could do that I wouldn't love!
In general notes: I'm a slash fan, mostly, but hey, I love human beings! I love anything they do! Gen is more beautiful than sex if the gen is tasty! But sex is tasty too! I don't really have any squicks. :D Humour is good. Politics is good. Chessmastery is good. Hilarity is good. Drama is good. EVERYTHING IS GOOD.
Ursula K Le Guin - the Hainish Cycle
If you gave me a chance I could and WOULD flail about this entire fandom as a whole. I'm a Left Hand of Darkness lover, and for the love of small gods you could write me fic about how people ate food in the Left Hand of Darkness and it could have nothing to do with Estraven and I WOULD STILL LOVE YOU TO BITS. If you want a copy of a Left Hand of Darkness, get someone to ping me mysteriously and I WILL SEND ONE TO YOU. I love this book that insanely much, and it's my dearest wish to see fandom for it grow, no matter the flavour.
That said, my other dearest wish is to see Estraven (Therem) paired up or interacting with Argaven from Winter's King, which is the world's most brilliant short story from the anthology The Wind's Twelve Quarters. Again, leave an anonymous comment or something if you want to pursue this end and I WILL TYPE THE DAMN THING OUT. :D :D :D :D :D
But if you're a fan of other Hainish things, I AM GOOD FOR THOSE TOO. I am particularly fond of Nine Lives. Seriously, it's Le Guin - I may have flaily wishes for it, but at the end of the day, I WILL FLAIL NO MATTER WHAT COMES AT ME. In JOY.
Lucifer
I love, love, love Lucifer's characterisation to bits. I love him interacting with Michael. i love him interacting with God. I love him pissing off angels. I love him when he walks. I love him when he takes out the trash. It's another fandom in which you could do absolutely anything and I'd be in love anyway - Mike Carey + Neil Gaiman = blind, blind, beautiful love.
If it helps, my favourite parts of Lucifer are --
1. The sermon in the thunder discussion between Michael and Lucifer
2. The final discussion between Lucifer and god
3. Lucifer plus anything with Christopher Rudd
4. Lucifer acting as total failget awesome uncle to Belloc

I am a sucker, a sucker for Lu Tze. I'd dearly love a backstory story about his relationship to the Abbot of the History Monks, because I See In That Pithole Beautiful Things. Or Lu Tze's continuing relationship with Lobsang?
Though, again, this is a fandom for which you may just go forth and ignore my character requests and go where you will. I'm not a huge fan of the Wizards or the Witches, though the Witches tend to get my love whenever I start reading them anyway, since they're so awesome. The Guards are my babies, Vetinari is my small god, and I have a great, huge, weird love for the in-between novels that feature no great group: Small Gods? Thief of Time? Making Money? Yeah. Yeaaaaah.
Murder Mysteries
I read through this very quickly and very fast, but I do love this piece in its entirety for how closely it - like American Gods - presses my buttons re: re-interpretation. It's Gaiman, and I think I wrote this in my original request -- for Gaiman, all bets are called off. :D :D :D Do with it what you will! I can never imagine what Gaiman!fic will turn out to be, and that is a good and right thing. ♥
At the end of the day, I hope you just have fun with the potential bits and pieces, and please don't fret too much about appeasing anyone but yourself! ♥ I WILL SEE YOU ON NEW YEAR'S, READY TO LATHER LOVE ON YOU LIKE THE BESTEST OF SOAPS*.
