Yuletide Friending Meme!

Because it's [livejournal.com profile] yuletide, and because there's #yuletide, and because you are all awesome, and because I want to send people from all over the world presents. So there!

[edit] If you want to be super sekrit about your fandoms because this is pre-reveal, please do! Or there's always the alternative of spamming the fandom segment until it's impossible to tell. *g*

LJ: [livejournal.com profile] ediblestars, natch. It's usually more random observations and rambling about my internet life than dispatches from the real world. The writing journal's [livejournal.com profile] edible_words, but it hasn't been updated often in the past several months.
Location: southern US
Fandoms: are kind of a mixed bag at the moment! Historically, it's been FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS AND SOME MORE FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS, but I have my toes in all sorts of small-to-nonexistent fandoms. I like the Wainwright-McGarrigles an awful awful lot, though, and lately I've been really excited about Rufus/Ben Folds (seriously (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q01WCVrgQaU)), so there's that. I'm also sort of following several larger fandoms I never really seem to talk about (haha, sorry), among them bandom, House, The Office US, 30 Rock, and politislash.

Honestly, talking about specific fandoms is kind of hopeless here, so maybe I should just tell you more about how I tend to operate in them? I write sometimes (WHAT) and draw rarely. I like RPF and FPF equally. In a vacuum, femslash is my favorite thing, but I also like het and boyslash; practically, most of my pairings tend to be m/m, but it's more about the individual characters than anything else. I get really excited about ideas, usually weird ones. I'm into crack and crazy premises rooted in solid writing and characterization, and after a while I do tend to gravitate a little more towards "everyone's goat herders in Argentina!" than the this-could-be-a-missing-episode school of canon, so be warned. (If you or someone you love is in bandom: I'm kind of a one-woman [livejournal.com profile] wolfshirts.) Banter, snark, stupid MS Paint drawings, CAPSLOCK, and dorkasses being dorkasses make me happy; people who can't keep a healthy mental distance between the real and fictional objects of their adoration make me sad.

I don't know. My journal's mostly public and I don't talk about real life much, so feel free to skim the recent entries.
