Yuletide Friending Meme!

Because it's [livejournal.com profile] yuletide, and because there's #yuletide, and because you are all awesome, and because I want to send people from all over the world presents. So there!

[edit] If you want to be super sekrit about your fandoms because this is pre-reveal, please do! Or there's always the alternative of spamming the fandom segment until it's impossible to tell. *g*

Your stocking request intrigues me...What pairing are you thinking of? Eddie/Lynley? Monty/Lynley? Do tell! I'll admit I'm mostly a Lynley/Havers shipper, but I'm open to suggestions.

And yes, Chocolate is forever. I can only eat Dark Chocolate now, and that sparingly, but I have discovered the best Dark Chocolate ever. It's made by this Cocoa Cooperative in Senegal, and sold here in the States at Whole Foods stores and co-ops, at least here in New England. The name of the company is Divine and it's not a lie. It is the creamiest dark chocolate I've ever tasted, outside of say, Godiva. The two kinds I like are the fruit and nut and the mint chocolate. If you'd like, I'll send you a couple, and possibly the story, if it's something I feel I could write.

*hee* I'm not even necessarily looking at slash on this one, though if someone wants to give it a shot I would be thrilled to read the results. I just keep getting amusing mental images of Eddie finding an unexpected partner in Monty-related eyerolling in Tommy Lynley, whom I suspect has known Monty for ages through family connections. Plus I think Eddie would get on with Barbara Havers like the proverbial house on fire; they're both such straightforward blue-collar types. I think Barbara would find Monty by turns amusing and annoying as all hell. lol

Ooooo, choccy! I would very much like, as long as I get to send you something in exchange. ^_^

Oh, but I love to write het and/or gen fic. I shall turn my thoughts to the idea, most definitely, and I will indeed be happy to send you choccies. You're in Arizona, I see, hmmm...Any chance you could get your hands on some cactus candy? I'm from Southern California, and I miss being able to get it out here in New England. It wouldn't have to be much, just a couple of pieces. We do have a decent Mexican restaurant out here, but they're an hour away over the mountains and they don't have cactus candy!

So if you want to email me with your snail mail addy, at the same address we were corresponding with before, I shall send your chocolate winging your way. Would you like a mint and a fruit and nut, or two mints or two fruit and nuts? They have other flavors, but those are our two favorites.

I do think you're right, that Lynley would happily join Eddie in rolling eyes at Monty, and Eddie and Barbara would get along famously! I seriously will give that some thought, go back and re-watch some of my Lynley DVD's, which it's about time to do anyway (although not the pilot episode, ugh, can't deal with that one).

Hope your Christmas was a wonderful one! I've had some great comments on my fic. Thanks again for the beta!!

Ohmighod, my internal Monty is now informing Barbara that she should just go for it where Tommy is concerned because, "the man seriously needs to loosen up, yeah? What? Don't tell me you're not interested, Barbara. I have a sixth sense about these things." And Barbara is giving him that YOU'D BLOODY WELL BETTER BE JOKING look of hers. X-D

Oooo, yes, I can get cactus candy! *plots a trip to Bucky's Bean Bag* The mint chocolate sounds teh yum ... what kind of fruit is in the fruit and nut? I'll send you my snail-mail address later tonight! :D

Dang, I need Keen Eddie and Lynley icons ...

[identity profile] sphinxvictorian.livejournal.com 2008-12-27 07:18 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, my gods, indeed! Although Monty'd probably try calling her "Babs" and get slapped down for it...which is an interesting idea all in itself...OMG, this is such a good idea. One of us has to write this!!

If you need Lynley icons, try [livejournal.com profile] lynleymysteries. Check back a few weeks, but someone put up a bunch of icons. Sadly, have not found any KE ones, but I can make screencaps if someone else wants to make icons.

It's raisins in the fruit and nut, with almonds as the nut. I can send you one of each or two of each, depending on how bad you want to be. I am so glad you know just where to put your hand on cactus candy! I can already taste it! When you send me your addy, I'll send you mine.
