AHAHAH. Ahah. ahahah

Just finished 5000+ words of RPS fic. Am finally done with it. SHAKING WITH RELIEF. Brain needs to turn off now. Or back on. OR SOMETHING.

Also, mail went out today - Snow/Kristin/[livejournal.com profile] white_jenna, cards are heading down, do not throw out! ♥

I can help you turn your brain off? *reaches for the switch*

Also, that is an enviable word count.

Heh. Did I mention that I'm currently lying on a couch?

Enjoy your bath ^^

p.s. a question for when you get out: do you use, or are willing to have a go at, Skype? I downloaded it yesterday and am trying to convince my friends that free video calls are good thing.

*pounces*

I am going to convince you to have a video conversation sometime in the future. Unless, of course, you prefer to continue imagining me as a) a disembodied voice and b) a slightly freaky lady holding a pistol (whom I do not resemble, unfortunately).

Note, also, how this is a not-so-subtle attempt on my part to hear that mangled accent of yours ^^

*g* my webcam's not functional; vista is being shitty, but when I am less full of dead I will skype!

Excellent.

You poor thing, I'll leave you be to recharge/stumble your way back to the land of the living.

Time to read more American Gods <3

I am posting over here because that comm scares me a little. ;)

So, once again, Stephen! You know how much I have raved about what you do with him. Quote of the fic:
'And now it's time for Who's Not Listening To Me Now? Behold, silver-haired but not actually ancient, one Anderson Cooper has recently been spotted getting on a last-class flight all the way to the American colony of Afghanistan. Smiling at his fellow mainstream media friends-and-lackeys, Mr. Cooper said that he wanted to "be on the ground" doing "what reporters are meant to do" -- getting close to the action and taking some of his ridiculous amount of airtime with him. Good thinking: head straight for the guns and violence. COME BACK, YOU ****HEAD. If you die, then guess who's inheriting your legion of creepy fangirls? Me. And my studio isn't big enough for the two of us, Cooper.'

And then Jon, sitting there awake all alone with the hot chocolate, watching them sleep. I wish I could persuade you to write more about Jon, because I really love how dry and quiet and cynical and smart he is.

So... I have stopped reading most of the Rahm fics because I am really not interested in his politics. But the way you wrote him here, made it so bearable, because you didn't wrap everyone else up in the reality of his world. I LOVE how distant Anderson was, and how driven by his own work-ethic, and how the concerns of his job went beyond the political morality.

Thanks for finishing this and making it so worthwhile. :)

Daw, thank you! :D I'm sorry that you don't feel comfortable on the comm - it is kinda scary, innit? but there are awesome people there, too, so it all balances out. :D :D I'm kind of glad to have this one off my chest myself; it was a good way to (almost) exit the fandom. :D
