Back from my first real day of work; 7 hours of meetings and many awkward moments with my mainly Chinese-speaking fellow people (read: man-people, since 5/6 of them are male), but they're all nice. Except for the meetings. Dear lord, it doesn't matter how big the company is, bureaucracy is always evil, and no one ever grows up enough to not quarrel over petty details. To relieve my brain and celebrate going on vacation for four days (hee hee, I get away with going on vacation the day after I start work?), I join the memesheep flock: request a drabble from any one of my fandoms, the more situational and hilarious the better. :D I will try and get it all out in between flailing madly at having to leave the country tomorrow evening with so much work still needing to be done.

Every time I embark upon a multiparter, my first thought is you are such a lazy bastard and then the next is oh my god what have you got yourself into now? It's kind of freaky that Restorations, in spite of being slow and short and snail-like, has evolved into a new category of STOP OH GOD WHAT ARE YOU DOING. Next up: reverse-colonialisation, Reeve being a better politician than the whole world combined, Rufus getting his ass summarily handed to him by the irony gods, Tseng v. Past v. Present, and Wutai Existing For Us To Make Stuff Up About It.

Zechs/Treize, because I NEED TO WRITE THIS SO BAD. I've this bad feeling that I'm going to need 8 hours in front of my episodes with a notepad and a few flowcharts before I get to writing it with any measure of confidence, though. Slept at 550am. Failed to get up at 8am to send off people who were staying over. Bad K. Now is 1030am. Brilliant day outside, by the looks of it - golden light, lack of climate control, v. little reason to roll out of bed. Grabbing a few hours more sleep before:

[x] visiting the post office to yibber things off to people

Excitedface here; Tsengfic will be forthcoming over the next few days - I can't believe I haven't written since November, what - and and and stuff. EXCITING, NON DRUNK ON LACK OF SLEEP KINDA STUFF.

*sad* Though, with half the family gone and those guests no longer around and the BF too busy for anything and all the RL people as obsessed with work and getting things right as I am, it's... pretty lonely down here, post-celebrations.
